Thompson Fabrication, a steel fabrication and manufacturing shop, is seeking a motivated individual to fill a full-time Fabricator job opening. Thompson Fabricating has been providing high quality containers to the waste industry for 30 years.
We are looking for a General Laborer for a fast paced, assembly line work for our Steel Rolloff container manufacturing facility. This individual must be able to work in a manufacturing setting. With the ability to utilize a variety of tools and machinery including rolls, press breaks, saws, pressure washers, grinder and other tools to assist in the fabrication and paint prep of all of our containers.
Qualifications:
- Ability to use a 4" grinder with wire wheel or flat disc
- Must be able to read a tape measure
- Ability to read and understand the production schedules to ensure materials are ready ahead of scheduled production
- Must be able to cut material as needed for production in advance
- Ability to work in a Team environment
- Ability to cross-train and work in a changing environment
Physical Abilities:
- Must be able to lift & carry up to 65 #
- • Ability to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, etc.
Education and Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
