General Laborer

What we need

We are looking for a General Laborer to support a successful and rapidly growing business with trusted brands. Overall purpose of the role:

We are hiring for a General Laborer to join our Warehouse team at Alphacomm as we transform the company and industry. Many of our positions include picking and packing product, restocking pick locations, or assisting in cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory numbers. This position will report to an Operations Supervisor in the warehouse.

Alphacomm custom designs, manufactures and distributes wireless accessories to over 18,000 points of distribution, primarily in the Prepaid wireless market in North America. In-house brands, Quikcell and BosBos, are leading brands designed and manufactured by Alphacomm for the Prepaid channel.

Responsibilities

·        Picking orders using RF Scanner and placing items on conveyors

·        Working in a team environment to efficiently package required orders

·        Occasionally operating carts, dollies, and other moving equipment to move large quantities of merchandise

·        Working safely around conveyors and forklifts

·        Maintain a clean and neat workspace

·        Assist management on special assignments as requested

Requirements

·        High school Diploma or equivalent is preferred

·        1-3 years’ experience in a Distribution or Warehouse environment preferred

·        Understanding of Warehouse Management Systems and RF Scanners

·        Must be able to accurately read product SKUs and numbers

·        Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift

·        Must be able to lift up to 35lbs

·        Must be able to work overtime and weekends based on order volumes
