Job Overview: The Transload Laborer is a vital member of the KCMO Transload Operations team within RMG. The Transload Laborer is an important role ensuring the safe movement of trucks throughout the facility. The Transload operations are fast paced and require individuals focused on the safe and effective movement of product through the facility. The Transload Laborer must understand how to direct trucks using hand signals and utilize the conveyor system to stuff containers to assist and support with the successful onward movement of customer cargoes.

Key Job Duties:

• Assist drivers when backing
• Ensure the right amount of product has been loaded and is evenly distributed within the container
• Actively search for, identify, and communicate safety or maintenance issues
• Assist with sample taking when needed
• Record container stuffing and relevant details in multiple systems
• Operate different heavy machinery throughout the yard as needed such as the yard truck
• Perform other laborer tasks as requested by leadership

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Yard truck/hostler experience preferred
• Accurately follows instructions
• Time management
• Effective verbal and non verbal communication
• Organizational skills
• Can frequently lift over 50 lbs
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to push and pull up to 80 pounds occasionally
• Ability to ascend and descend ladders
