General Laborer, Minot

Description

This position is exposed to agricultural product such as wheat and soy.

The General Laborer will help in multiple areas of the yard including but not limited to assisting stuffing containers with product, move product throughout the yard by helping signal for drivers, ensure the product is loaded and evenly distributed in the container. There will be on the job training for all employees that join Rail Modal Group.

Key Job Duties:

• Facilitate train and cargo flow through prompt execution of management instruction and effective communication with the RMG team
• Verify train inventory and document container information in multiple systems using a tablet
• Remove or install twist lock cones between containers on the train
• Receive and execute train switching instructions from operations
• Perform other tasks in the yard supporting Transload, Maintenance, or Office departments

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Accurately follows instructions
• Time management
• Effective verbal and nonverbal communication
• Organizational skills
• Can frequently lift over 50 lbs
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to push and pull up to 80 pounds occasionally
• Ability to ascend and descend ladders
• Experience with inventory systems, Microsoft office tools
