General Laborers

Position Summary:

Talent Source is hiring General Laborers to support large-scale shipyard and vessel projects in San Diego, CA. This temporary, project-based role involves assisting skilled trades, maintaining safe work areas, and performing essential labor duties in an industrial maritime environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist skilled trades and supervisors with daily shipyard operations.

• Perform general labor tasks including lifting, carrying, staging materials, and cleanup.

• Support work on vessels, docks, and shipyard facilities.

• Follow all safety regulations, shipyard protocols, and site-specific requirements.

• Use basic hand and power tools as needed.

• Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas.

• Comply with security and access procedures within the shipyard.

Required Qualifications:

• Active DBIDS access is required.

• Ability to perform physically demanding work in an industrial/shipyard environment.

• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

• Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around heavy equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous shipyard, maritime, construction, or industrial labor experience.

• Familiarity with vessel environments and shipyard safety standards.

• U.S. military or shipyard background is a plus.

Schedule, Duration & Compensation Details:

• Temporary project (approximately 6 months, starting in March).

• Full-time schedule (hours may vary based on project needs).

• On-site role in San Diego, CA.

• Pay range: $19.00 – $20.00 per hour.
