Position Summary: The Maintenance Engineer performs a variety of tasks to maintain and repair guest rooms and common spaces, ensuring the hotel operates smoothly and safely for guests, associates, and vendors alike.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular maintenance and ensure the proper functioning of all room and common area features, including furniture, appliances, and electrical equipment such as televisions, refrigerators, and light fixtures.
• Prepare and organize supplies, ensuring all equipment is ready and in excellent condition for the next day.
• Uphold high safety standards by adhering to guidelines; promptly report any incidents, hazardous conditions, or unsafe equipment to the supervisor.
• Manage the cleanliness and safety of both interior and exterior hotel areas, including the car park and pool.
• Proactively follow the preventative maintenance calendar to keep all systems and equipment in optimal working condition.
• Communicate effectively with the supervisor or duty manager about low-running supplies and potential improvements.
• Take on additional tasks or duties to support the team as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school education or GED
• 1-2 Years of hotel maintenance experience
• Customer service experience
• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks
• Thrives in a flexible environment and has the ability to switch tasks quickly
• Basic maintenance certification/accreditation preferred
• Is a team player
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written
• Ability to work weekends and evenings (required)
