General Maintenance

At Oberg Industries, we take pride in our clean, safe, and efficient facilities. We’re looking for a dependable and hands-on General Maintenance worker to help us maintain both the interior and exterior of our Freeport Corporate Headquarters building and support equipment maintenance operations.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform general janitorial duties to keep the interior of our facility clean and well-maintained.
• Maintain exterior areas including landscaping, grounds, and parking lots.
• Complete emergency and scheduled maintenance repairs on equipment.
• Read and follow work orders, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Support a workplace that promotes safety, respect, and inclusivity.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

• Ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
• U.S. citizenship or compliance with U.S. export regulations.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including earplugs, safety glasses, and steel-toe shoes.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors, and around moving mechanical parts.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 35 lbs. with control and unassisted.
• Capable of standing, sitting, bending, reaching, and kneeling for extended periods.
• Dexterity to handle tools and perform detailed tasks.
• Able to travel across departments and divisions as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a general maintenance or janitorial setting preferred.
