General Maintenance Technician

Description

TRISTAR is seeking a General Maintenance Technician for our government customer in Crane, IN

• The General Maintenance Technician requires practical skill and knowledge in facility maintenance such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work
• Work involves a variety of duties to include but not limited to:  replacing light bulbs, electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors, using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings, repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets, painting structures and equipment, repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps and sidewalks, replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles, replacing damaged or discolored ceiling tiles, hanging doors and installing door locks, replacing broken window panes, fastening equipment or structures to concrete flooring, and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery

Position Responsibilities:

• General facility maintenance skills
• ·Attention to detail
• ·Basic Microsoft Office skills 
• ·Knowledge of Hazardous Material Management

Requirements

• Lock Out / Tag Out training
• Fall protection training
• Must be a US Citizen
• An Active Secret Clearance is required or the ability to obtain one

Education and Certification:

• HS Diploma or GED - Prefer 2-3 years of maintenance or carpentry/construction experience
