Our Downtown Denver location is not just a restaurant — it’s an institution. A cozy, high-energy, 100-seat seafood bar with a cult following, generations of regulars, and a reputation that spans decades. From timeless oyster towers to soulful, seasonal cocktails, Jax brings the spirit of coastal fish houses to the heart of the Rockies.
Now, we’re searching for an exceptional General Manager to lead this iconic location into its next chapter.
WHO YOU ARE:
You’re more than a manager — you’re a mentor, culture driver, and operations expert. You thrive in the dynamic energy of a packed dining room and find deep purpose in making moments matter. You balance big-picture vision with hands-on leadership. You’ve managed high-volume, full-service restaurants and have the scars (and stories) to prove it.
You are a selfless hospitalitarian: unflappable, adaptable, and deeply committed to people — both guests and team. Your leadership style is grounded in teaching, team development, and guest obsession. You understand that hospitality starts at the door — and is only successful when it starts with the team.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Experienced Operator: 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in full-service restaurants, preferably in high-volume and/or fine-casual dining.
Team Builder & Leader: A coach and teacher who invests in people. Proven track record of developing high-performing teams and cultivating long-term careers.
Guest-Obsessed: Passion for warm, authentic, and elevated hospitality that feels both refined and familiar.
Culture Keeper: Protect and evolve a legacy brand, uphold traditions, and bring fresh energy to a deeply rooted local institution.
Business-Savvy: Financial acumen, scheduling, ordering, inventory, labor, and P&L experience required. You know your numbers — and how to act on them.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Oversee all front-of-house operations and ensure an outstanding guest experience, night after night.
- Build and maintain a culture of excellence, integrity, and hospitality.
- Lead with empathy, accountability, and a relentless drive to improve.
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to align culinary and service standards.
- Recruit, train, and develop a top-tier FOH team.
- Manage financials, scheduling, and inventory with precision.
- Represent Jax in the community and continue our proud tradition of service beyond our four walls.
