Job Description - General Manager

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a General Manager (GM) you work under the guidance of the District Manager and are responsible for all park operations including park safety and cleanliness, membership sales and park revenue, and providing an exceptional guest experience whether they’re enjoying a birthday party, snacking in the café, or exploring the play space.

You’re excellent at leading by example and leading through your team by fostering a positive work environment, creating and communicating clear expectations, and upholding the highest Sky Zone standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead Pre-Sales Efforts

  • Design, build, and lead day-to-day operations for all in-park experiences, ensuring consistent, high-quality execution across locations.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage regional and on-site operations teams with a focus on guest engagement, operational rigor, and culture alignment
  • Serve as the operational liaison between corporate leadership, in-park teams, and franchisees, translating vision into reality.

Own the Ongoing Sales Funnel to Maximize LeadGen

  • Own full-funnel marketing from awareness through conversion (paid, organic, local, influencer)
  • Define and optimize the customer journey; particular pre and post visit
  • Develop loyalty, referral, and email marketing programs to drive retention
  • Establish benchmarks and evaluation models utilizing CRM and analytics to optimize strategies based on data

Marketing Leadership

  • Manage brand strategy, positioning, and messaging
  • Provide customer insights to inform product development and guest experience improvements
  • Generate and maintain creative collateral
  • Direct campaigns across digital, content, social, PR, and traditional channels, while tracking ROI on marketing spend and campaign performance.
  • Manage and allocate the sales and marketing budget effectively.

Support the Field with Ongoing

  • Create a marketing and sales playbook for future franchise expansion
  • Focus on local community partnerships
  • Provide the field, both franchised and owned, with market and competitor analysis, focusing on market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape

Partner with Cross-Functional Teams

  • Partner with Guest Experience to align campaigns with in-park activations and events
  • Communicate with franchise base to ensure quality and consistency across all locations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Creative, HR, and Technology to align efforts with broader business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years leading sales and marketing strategy in DTC membership brands (wellness, fitness, early childhood, or luxury service industries preferred)
  • Experience in launching new businesses from the ground up and scaling from 0 to 1, while preparing for a franchise model.
  • Skilled in balancing premium brand tone with data-driven performance marketing
  • Familiarity with franchise scalability is a plus
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to make data-driven decisions quickly and effectively with incomplete information paired with strong project management and process-building skills.
  • Exceptional leadership presence with the ability to inspire, influence, and lead by example.

Compensation ranges from $72,000-$82,000 base pay + bonus opportunity and is based on qualifications, experience, and performance. Competitive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision (401k eligibility based on age and tenure requirements).
