General Manager – The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill

We're looking for a leader, not just a manager.

The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill is seeking an experienced General Manager who is passionate about developing people, delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving sales, and building a culture of accountability. This position is responsible for the overall success of the restaurant, including financial performance, team leadership, guest satisfaction, catering growth, and maintaining operational excellence.

This is a hands-on leadership position. Our General Manager works alongside the team every day and is expected to lead from the front—not from the office. If you're looking for a desk job, this isn't it.

Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day restaurant operations.
• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop team members and managers.
• Build and maintain a positive, accountable, high-performance culture.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally.
• Drive sales through community involvement, local marketing initiatives, networking, and relationship building.
• Develop and grow the restaurant's catering business by actively seeking new opportunities, cultivating relationships with local businesses, schools, hospitals, churches, and community organizations, and following up on leads.
• Create and execute plans to increase repeat business and guest loyalty.
• Monitor labor, food costs, inventory, and all controllable expenses.
• Analyze sales trends and financial reports, then implement action plans to improve profitability.
• Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and health department standards are consistently exceeded.
• Create and manage employee schedules that balance guest service with labor efficiency.
• Conduct performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and disciplinary action when necessary.
• Hold team members accountable to company standards while recognizing and rewarding excellence.
• Lead by example through professionalism, integrity, urgency, and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of restaurant management experience, with General Manager experience preferred.
• Demonstrated success leading high-performing teams.
• Proven ability to increase sales and drive business growth.
• Experience with local store marketing, community outreach, or catering sales is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of restaurant financials, including P&L management, labor, food cost, and inventory control.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Highly organized with exceptional time-management abilities.
• Comfortable making decisions and solving problems in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
