General Manager

 At FX, fitness is more than a facility. It is a place where people build confidence, strength, connection, and momentum. We are looking for an energetic, people-first General Manager to lead a high-performing fitness facility and bring the FX experience to life every day.

The General Manager leads the overall performance, culture, member experience, and daily operations of an FX fitness facility. This role sets the tone for the team, drives business results, maintains high operational standards, and ensures every member and guest feels welcomed, supported, and inspired.

• Lead, coach, and develop teammates through clear communication, accountability, and positive energy.
• Drive membership growth, personal training engagement, member retention, and overall business performance.
• Create an exceptional member experience through strong relationships, service standards, and community engagement.
• Keep the facility clean, safe, organized, and stage-ready at all times.
• Monitor key metrics and create simple action plans to improve performance.
• Support sales, tours, lead follow-up, new member onboarding, and service promotion.
• Manage scheduling, payroll, inventory, supplies, vendor communication, and facility needs.
• Partner with internal teams to support events, challenges, promotions, and local growth initiatives.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Three plus years leading and managing a team.
• Experience in fitness facility management and operations is highly recommended, but not required.
• BS/BA is a plus.
• Must be a passionate team player and a strong motivator.
• Must have strong background in driving performance excellence through strong people management.
• Experience in problem-solving, exercising sound judgment, maintaining confidentiality and the ability to interact professionally and effectively with teammates, guests and members.
• Proficiency in computer applications including Google Suite and database applications, specifically CRM software systems and lead generation systems.
• Ability to multi-task with strong time management skills.
• Ability to complete assignments and responsibilities accurately and in a timely manner, often with strict and/or conflicting deadlines.
• Excellent oral presentation, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills.
• Must have exceptional strong customer service experience and skills.

PHYSICAL

• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays, if needed.
• Must frequently lift 25 pounds or more.
• Must be able to be on feet for at least eight hours per day, if needed.
