General Manager

Boot Factory Outlet has an exciting career opportunity!! We are seeking a customer-focused, sales-driven leader

to work as a General Manager at our brand-new Arlington store.

About the Role:

The General Manager oversees the company’s organizational processes and adds improvements to it to build an enjoyable culture. This includes the daily operations of the store and leading your team to meet or exceed all strategic goals. You do this by enforcing all aspects of inventory control and operational policies, controlling expenses, shortages, managing all employees to maximize the sales and profitability of the store. This position is a “working manager” position and is expected to be working the sales floor.

There will be two weeks of offsite training in Tennessee required prior to starting in the store. 

Essential Responsibilities:

• Ensure that each Guest receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of service.

• Oversee day to day operations, scheduling of management staff, assigning weekly performance goals and assuring their completion, while accomplishing your own goals.

• Maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, developing and training employees.
• 
  
• Develop staff through coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising.
• 
  
• Plan and assign daily goals, tasks and assignments for your team. Assure proper completion through follow-up.
• 
  
• Responsible for the continued growth of sales in your store. Criteria used are the previous year sales versus current.
• 
  
• Monitors sales performance through comparison shopping, competitive threats, and customer inquiries. Assist in adjusting strategies when needed.
• 
  
• Management of all office tasks including management of inventory and employee timecards.
• 
  
• Effectively communicate with staff and company leadership team, regularly.
• 
  
• Know the product, work the sales floor daily, and know your customer base. Don’t ask your employees to do something you aren’t willing or able to do.

 Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have:

• Previous management experience, minimum of five years, preferably in a retail setting.
• The ability and willingness to work a retail schedule at a minimum of 45 hours a week that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong social, written and communication skills that includes a commitment to customer service and teamwork.
• Resourceful problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and results driven.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and delegate projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Holds self and others accountable to consistently maintain high-performance standards.
• High School Diploma/Equivalent; College degree preferred.

Essential Physical Requirements:

• (Lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, climbing, reaching, and standing/walking for the entire shift)
• Ability to read, count and write in order to accurately complete all documentation.
• Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and cash wrap.
• You must be able to wear western boots while working.
• Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store.
• Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0-60 pounds.
