Overview
McWilliams Heating, Cooling & Plumbing has been taking care of East Texas homes for years, and we’re ready for our next leader. We’re hiring a General Manager to lead our Lufkin, Burke, Nacogdoches, and Livingston locations, building strong teams, growing the business, and running a shop customers trust and techs want to work for.

This is a true GM seat. You’ll own the P&L, lead the department managers, and set the standard for service, install, and plumbing operations across all four locations. With Blue Cardinal Home Services Group behind you, you’ll have the resources of a larger organization and the freedom to lead like a local owner.

Responsibilities

• Own full P&L across all four locations, including revenue, gross margin, labor, and operating expenses
• Lead and develop department managers across HVAC service, HVAC install, plumbing, and the office/CSR team
• Drive growth through call volume, conversion, average ticket, and maintenance membership sales
• Set, track, and hold teams accountable to KPIs, budgets, and forecasts
• Build a culture of accountability, safety, and customer-first service
• Partner with recruiting to attract, hire, and keep top technicians and leaders
• Make sure work follows code, licensing, and company standards
• Travel regularly between Lufkin, Burke, Nacogdoches, and Livingston to support teams and keep operations consistent
• Report results and plans to regional and executive leadership

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in residential home services (HVAC and/or plumbing contractor)
• 3+ years in a General Manager or senior operations role with full P&L ownership
• Proven track record of growing revenue and profitability in a multi-million-dollar operation
• Multi-location leadership experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of residential HVAC and plumbing operations
• Experience with field service software; ServiceTitan strongly preferred
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and KPI management
• Willing to travel regularly between all four East Texas locations
• Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record
