General Manager - Beverage Trailer & Events

Position Overview

Ziggi’s Coffee is seeking a highly motivated and hands-on General Manager to oversee our mobile beverage trailer operations. This role combines the responsibilities of running a coffee trailer with managing an events program. The General Manager will be accountable for daily trailer operations—including staffing, training, inventory, cash handling, and customer service—while also identifying, booking, and executing community and corporate events. This role ensures that every event and daily operation reflects the high standards of the Ziggi’s brand.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

• Oversee daily operations of the beverage trailer, ensuring consistent execution of Ziggi’s beverage and service standards.
• Hire, train, schedule, and manage team members working trailer shifts and events.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and waste control to ensure product quality and cost efficiency.
• Oversee cash handling, POS transactions, and reconciliation of sales.
• Maintain trailer equipment, cleanliness, and overall operational readiness.

Event Booking & Execution

• Research, identify, and secure community and corporate events that align with Ziggi’s brand.
• Manage the event calendar to ensure strong trailer utilization without overextending resources.
• Coordinate staffing, logistics, and product needs for each event.
• Safely transport, set up, operate, and break down the trailer at event locations.
• Represent Ziggi’s at events with excellent hospitality and customer service.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead by example as a hands-on manager, working events alongside the team.
• Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to staff.
• Create a positive team culture that supports productivity, engagement, and growth.

Financial & Administrative

• Track and manage budgets, sales goals, and expenses for both day-to-day operations and events.
• Provide post-event reporting on sales, staffing, and improvement opportunities.
• Support the development of systems and processes that can scale Ziggi’s trailer program into new markets.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food/beverage regulations.
• Follow all safety guidelines for towing, maneuvering, and operating the trailer.
• Maintain accurate records for inventory, cash handling, and safety checks.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

• Previous management experience in food service, retail, or hospitality.
• Strong leadership skills with experience scheduling, training, and supervising staff.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to tow, maneuver, and set up a trailer; valid driver’s license with a clean record required.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for long periods.

Preferred:

• Prior barista or coffee experience (or willingness to train to Ziggi’s standards).
• Experience in event booking and vendor coordination.
• Budget management and sales reporting experience.
• Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting trailer or equipment issues.
• Experience creating or implementing operational processes/SOPs.
• Ability to tow, maneuver, and set up a trailer; valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
