Job Description - General Manager, Gulf Coast

General Manager, Gulf Coast


Responsible for service delivery of SIS services within multiple branches in his/her region such that key budget, operational, safety and customer requirements are met and exceeded. The General Manager is fully accountable at the P&L level for the delivery of their region’s budgets/forecasts, and to meet business growth and performance targets.  The General Manager grows and manages a sustainable business, while maintaining operational performance, financial margins, and customer relationships. Provide executive leadership to his/her expanded teams, set and provide clear expectations/accountability, provide the climate for success, build capability among the team, and develop team members for their next role. Be a role model in terms of leadership and conduct. Build strong executive relationships with senior customer leaders. Work with Branch Managers to identify and develop new business opportunities.



Duties



  • Drives the Company's values and ensures these values are incorporated into the development, management, performance, and accountability of the team

  • Comply with company policies on radiation safety, risk management, quality assurance, health, safety and environment, including statutory obligations

  • Increase sales by participating in and leading where appropriate, business development activities that include bid preparation, business proposals and customer presentations. Is fully engaged and helps drive Business Development activities for opportunities and new growth targets, as well holds branch managers accountable to grow their business with new customers, and to secure additional work from existing customers

  • Identification of projects and customers, and developing customer-specific strategies to grow the business in his/her region

  • Provide leadership in the budgeting and planning process for the region

  • Direct accountability for sustainable operations including customer relationships, safety, radiation safety, quality, talent, operational resources, and financials

  • 100% pass rate of government and client/customer audits

  • Identify key resource requirements and engage with Leadership Team, Operations, Branch Managers and HR to establish succession & workforce planning for key roles

  • Provide coaching and mentoring within the development and operational teams to build robust talent pipeline and succession

  • Performs the duties of the job as directed

  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned

  • Adheres to the company policies

  • Obtains and maintain all required certifications and licenses

  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned/directed



Special Skills Required



  • At least 10 years’ NDT experience or related field

  • Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels of personnel, executives and customers

  • Strong financial skills along with extensive P&L experience in managing and being accountable for company assets / profit and loss

  • Solid understanding of business development and the interplay between contracts, operations and commercial outcomes

  • Existing and demonstrable relationships with our customer base

  • Self-motivated and reliable

  • Keeps company and customer commitments

  • Give and take direction in a positive manner

  • Maintain a high level of integrity

  • Abide by Company policies at all times



  • High School Diploma or Equivalency

  • Oil and Gas Industry Knowledge



Working Conditions



  • Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, visual acuity

  • Moving, carrying and lifting objects in excess of 75 pounds

  • Be able to step up into vehicles or onto equipment

  • Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time

  • Potential for Mental Stress during accidents and investigations

  • Long hours of computer usage can create visual and mental stress

  • Working in indoor and outdoor environments in conditions of extreme heat and cold

  • Work in and near industrial hazard

  • Must be able to travel
