Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to achieve project goals and delivery deadlines.
- Collaborate with design and operations teams to develop job cost estimates and clarify product expectations.
- Coordinate fabrication processes and optimize labor and production efficiency.
- Manage staffing and job assignments for maximum utilization of skills and timely project completion.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships to secure quality parts and cost-effective sourcing.
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor manufacturing work in progress to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with customer standards.
- Provide regular project updates and maintain thorough documentation and communication with customers.
- Oversee pre-delivery testing and on-site setup; support customer training as needed.
- Compile and verify job cost data for invoicing and financial review.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or production, preferably with heavy equipment or similar industries.
- Associate degree in a related field preferred; higher education or relevant certifications a plus.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing skilled trades and engineering teams.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office; ability to learn specialty software.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass required safety and qualification training.
- Ability to walk, stand extensively, and occasionally lift heavy parts or tools.
