Job Summary:

Gecko Hospitality is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a General Manager position at a premier RV resort near

North Fort Myers, FL . The resort is seeking a highly organized, customer-focused leader to oversee the operations of a 208-site community. The General Manager will be pivotal in managing sales and customer service, supervising daily office activities, overseeing revenue management, coordinating staff, handling resort supplies, and executing basic accounting and cost management. Ideal candidates will possess extensive experience in the RV resort industry and a profound understanding of its operations, including sales, reservations, customer satisfaction, and event planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage sales and advertising to enhance occupancy and promote the resort.
Oversee customer service, including handling cancellations and special requests to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction.
Ensure smooth guest arrival and departure processes.
Supervise daily office operations, including financial management and reporting.
Develop work schedules for employees and volunteers.
Conduct cost management and basic accounting tasks, maintaining financial records.
Oversee resort maintenance, including landscaping, pool upkeep, and facility repairs.
Plan and implement guest activities and events, managing budgets accordingly.
Manage IT systems and software relevant to resort operations.

Requirements:

Preferred Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in RV resort management or a similar role.
Comprehensive knowledge of RV resort operations, including marketing, reservations, guest services, and event coordination.
Exceptional organizational, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and reservation management software.
Flexible work schedule availability, including weekends and holidays.
A long-term commitment to leading the resort as its General Manager.
