General Manager - Vacuum Pumps

Our client is looking to hire a General Manager to run their vacuum pump business. This role will report directly to the President of the company. The General Manger, is responsible for developing and driving the companys strategy to deploy and grow the companys vacuum pump business and paper industry fabric conditioning and dewatering system business.
**Responsibilities**
*

Responsible for the growth strategy of the vacuum pump business.
*

Manage business segment safety, quality, cost savings, production control, inventory management and cash flow to meet the companys budget.
*

Define the segments business model and pricing strategy for the region.
*

Develop and maintain a proactive sales and marketing strategy covering pricing/discounts, engineering solutions and customer contact in all facets of the segments customer base.
*

Achieve the net profit margin target for the product line, by efficient cost control budgeting and effective pricing strategies.
*

Effectively recruit, lead, mentor, develop and retain all staff as required; to include regular performance measurement, appraisals and coaching for professional development.
*

Increase customer satisfaction and loyalty; as well as, brand awareness.
*

Supervise and lead product regionalization and performance enhancement efforts, setting priorities and targets according to the market requirements.
**Education**
Bachelors Degree required; MBA is highly preferred
**Requirements**
* Minimum 5 years experience within manufacturing and/or distribution of industrial rotating equipment
* Minimum 2 years experience directly related to vacuum pumps and systems Working knowledge of paper industry is preferred
* A proven track record developing, implementing and successfully leading company growth initiatives is required
* Job-Specific Software: Basic ability to create, use and retrieve project-related information from ERP systems, scheduling software, CRM solutions, etc.
