Occupational Therapist (OT) – Travel Position

Location: Mesa, AZ
Job Type: Travel Contract

Pay: $2,365/week

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a healthcare facility in Mesa, AZ, on a travel contract. The OT will evaluate and treat patients requiring rehabilitation services to restore independence and improve their ability to perform daily living and work-related activities. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to enhancing patients’ quality of life through individualized therapy programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient evaluations to assess functional abilities, limitations, and rehabilitation needs.


• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient goals.


• Provide interventions focused on mobility, coordination, self-care, and cognitive rehabilitation.


• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals, adaptive equipment, and home programs.


• Document assessments, treatment sessions, and progress notes in compliance with facility and regulatory requirements.


• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.


• Maintain a safe, supportive therapy environment and uphold infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.


• Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in Arizona (or compact license).


• Minimum of 1 year of recent OT experience, preferably in rehab, acute, or long-term care settings.


• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.


• COVID vaccine and recent TB test.


• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
