Occupational Therapist – Travel Position

Location: Limon, CO

Pay: $2,095/week

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join a facility in Limon, CO, on a travel contract. The Occupational Therapist will assess and treat patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery, focusing on restoring independence in daily living skills, mobility, and functional performance. The ideal candidate is compassionate, adaptable, and experienced in rehabilitation or general OT practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations to assess patients’ functional abilities and therapy needs.


• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.


• Provide therapeutic interventions including ADL retraining, coordination, strengthening, and mobility support.


• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy objectives, safety practices, and adaptive strategies.


• Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress accurately in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.


• Collaborate with physical therapy, speech therapy, and nursing staff to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.


• Promote independence, recovery, and improved quality of life through evidence-based OT practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.


• Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in Colorado (or compact license).


• Minimum of 1 year of recent OT experience in a rehabilitation or general practice setting.


• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).


• COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.


• Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills.


• Compassionate approach with experience supporting diverse patient populations.
