General Sales Manager (CDJR) — New York Metro
We are seeking an experienced General Sales Manager to lead variable operations across two Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram rooftops in the New York metro market. This high-impact role oversees 4 Sales Managers (including a dedicated Used Vehicle Manager), 3 F&I Managers, 15 Sales Consultants, and the BDC. The GSM works closely with ownership to drive sales growth, manage inventory strategy, and deliver exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts
- Lead and coach Sales Managers, F&I Managers, and Sales Consultants, delivering weekly, monthly, and quarterly training
- Manage new & used inventory strategy, aging policy, and CPO mix
- Monitor OEM stair-step and retro attainment, adjusting strategy mid-month to hit objectives
- Oversee the communication of incentives and competitive pricing on the website, monitoring competitor offers
- Partner with accounting to manage CIT, titling, and funding speed
- Direct BDC performance and lead handling processes
Key Qualifications
- 5–8+ years progressive general sales manager experience
- Proven success in managing multi-rooftop operations and used-car strategy
- Strong desking, inventory management, and OEM program expertise
- Experience with VinSolutions, vAuto, CDK, and advanced Excel
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching skills
