The General Service Automotive Technician role is a very important role at the company as it completes the repairs and services that the sales team sells.

In addition to actually producing the work sold on customer vehicles, this role also performs the vital task of inspecting vehicles to find repairs and services that are needed on a customer's vehicles which the sales team will sell to customers.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Receive repair orders from the dispatcher and take them to the stall area.
• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy by dealership and factory standards.
• Advise the service advisor immediately if any additional work is needed, if the work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Document work performed.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure repair has addressed the customer complaint.
• Quality check work performed.
• Attend training classes.
• Ensure that customers' vehicles are kept clean.
• Administer safety and housekeeping policies and procedures
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, governing service repair work.

Qualifications:

• ASE certifications preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to read and write effectively in English
• Basic computer knowledge
• Current, valid driver’s license
