Automotive General Service/Lube Technician / Mechanic

Job Overview:

We are looking for technicians who are energetic, upbeat, and have a positive attitude. The technicians we are looking for have to seek out solutions to tough problems with a strong passion for doing what's right for our guests.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• General Service Technicians / Mechanics perform all maintenance and repair services including but not limited to; oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, suspension alignments, and more
• Perform digital vehicle inspections with photos, videos and detailed notes with accurate grammar and spelling
• Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively
• Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections
• Ensure all preventive maintenance reports are complete and accurate
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know
• Assist in all housekeeping functions as directed by Management
• Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate the extent of any damage or malfunctions on a guest's vehicle
• Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization

Qualifications:

• Current driver’s licenses in good standing and insurable
• This position requires experience and training in the fundamentals of workflow, repair theory and safety at a light duty intermediate level.
• This is an entry-level position.  We would prefer a high school or equivalent diploma, but this is not required.  
• Must show some experience and training.  An Automotive degree is a plus!
• ASE Certifications a plus
• Must be capable of communicating with the digital documentation including assignment workflow, inspection reporting, and internal digital messaging with accurate use of grammar, sentence structure and punctuation.

Physical Requirements:

• Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds
• Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
• Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair
• Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand-tools
• Walk/stand for the majority of the workday
• Drive manual transmission vehicles
• Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
• Efficiently navigate a computer
