General Superintendent

KO Construction is seeking a General Superintendent to support the successful execution of projects across our growing portfolio. This role will be responsible for overseeing field operations, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in alignment with company standards. The Construction Superintendent will work closely with the Director of Construction and Project Managers to provide leadership across job sites, support field teams, and from conception to closeout, help drive consistency in project execution. This position plays a key role in strengthening operational performance as the organization continues to grow and scale.

REPORTS TO: Director of Construction  

HOURS: Full-Time, Monday through Friday 

WORK LOCATION: Minnetonka, MN 

COMPENSATION: $130k - $145k

Field Operations & Site Management

• Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple job sites 
• Coordinate and manage site supervisors and subcontractors 
• Ensure projects are executed in accordance with plans, schedules, and quality expectations 
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, safety, and performance 
• Proactively identify and resolve field issues 

Scheduling & Coordination

• Support development and maintenance of project schedules 
• Coordinate subcontractor activities to ensure efficient workflow 
• Monitor progress and communicate updates to project teams and leadership 
• Assist in identifying risks to schedule and recommend corrective actions 

Safety & Quality Control

• Enforce job site safety standards and compliance requirements 
• Promote a culture of safety across all projects 
• Ensure work meets company quality standards and project specifications 
• Address deficiencies and ensure timely resolution 

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with Project Managers to align on project execution 
• Support communication between field and office teams 
• Assist in onboarding and guiding site supervisors 
• Provide feedback to improve performance and consistency across teams 

Process & Operational Support

• Support implementation of company processes and project standards 
• Assist in driving consistency across projects and teams 
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within construction operations 
• Support adoption of construction management tools and systems (e.g., Procore) 

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS 

• 5–10+ years of experience in construction, with a focus on field operations 
• Experience as a Superintendent or in a similar field leadership role 
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination 
• Ability to manage multiple projects or sites simultaneously 
• Strong communication and organizational skills 
• Proficiency with construction management software is preferred
