Job Title: General Surgeon – Access Specialist

Job Description:


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated General Surgeon with expertise in vascular access procedures to join our specialized team at. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and performing vascular access surgeries, including arteriovenous fistulas, grafts, and central venous catheter placements, primarily for patients requiring dialysis or other vascular therapies.


Key Responsibilities:


Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients requiring vascular access.
Perform creation and maintenance of vascular access procedures, such as AV fistulas, grafts, and catheter placements.
Collaborate closely with nephrologists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
Monitor and manage post-operative care and complications related to access procedures.
Educate patients and their families regarding access care, maintenance, and potential complications.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
Stay current with advancements in vascular access techniques and best practices.


Qualifications:


Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Board certification or eligibility in Vascular Surgery or General Surgery with specialized training in vascular access.
Proven experience in vascular access procedures, particularly for dialysis patients.
Excellent surgical skills, with a focus on minimally invasive techniques.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Licensure and credentialing as required by state and hospital regulations.


Preferred Qualifications:


Certification in Vascular Surgery (e.g., ABVS or equivalent).
Experience with image-guided vascular access procedures.
Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development.
