Generator Parts Purchasing Specialist

Description

Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing Inc. is a statewide commercial service provider specializing in skilled trades, tenant improvements, and new construction projects. The Generator Parts Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for sourcing and ordering materials and supplies for commercial projects. This role requires knowledge of commercial generator components and the ability to coordinate closely with project managers, field supervisors, wholesalers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing. Additionally, this position will support the wholesale purchasing team with various clerical functions of the department. Please note: this is a full-time, on-site position based in Racho Cucamonga, CA. Remote work is not available for this role. 

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase commercial generators and/or material based on project requirements
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and manufacturers
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
• Track inventory levels and communicate inventory updates with teams
• Review and manage purchase orders, invoices, and vendor contracts
• Analyze costs, logistics, and technical requirements
• Stay current with industry trends, product specifications, and supply chain developments
• Collaborate with sales, and project managers to forecast equipment and/or material needs
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement standards

Requirements

• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in commercial generators or electrical equipment
• Familiarity with generator types, specifications, and brands (e.g., Cummins, Generac, Kohler, etc.)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency utilizing Viewpoint Spectrum and Microsoft Office Suite is desired 
• High school diploma required, associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with the ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM alphanumerically
