Generator Technician

1 Resource Group is seeking a skilled Generator Technician to join our clients team in Northern, VA area. As a Generator Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of generators used in various industries including construction, industrial, and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machinery and possess a dedication to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on generators
• Troubleshoot generator issues and determine appropriate solutions
• Install and commission new generators according to manufacturer's guidelines
• Test and evaluate generator performance
• Respond to emergency generator service calls
• Maintain accurate records of service performed
• Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Generator Technician
• Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
