Job Description - Geotech Engineer - In - Training

Freese and Nichols is currently searching for a highly motivated, well-rounded Engineer-in-Training with an interest in the geotechnical field, to add to our Water Resource Dam and Levee Design group in Dallas or Fort Worth, Texas.

Primary Responsibilities:

      The candidate will be responsible for collecting, adjusting, correlating data, and recognizing discrepancies in results.

      Assist with geotechnical designs and reports, including learning slope stability, seepage and settlement modeling.

      The ideal candidate will become familiar with accepted design criteria and geotechnical methods.

      Perform project assignments within the scope of work and guidelines defined by the Project Engineer and within the time and schedule allocations agreed upon by the Group Manager.

      Applicant must be willing to interface with internal and external clients and develop strong working relationships through project interaction.  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering.

  • 1+ years' experience in a related field.

  • EIT certification or ability to pass the FE exam within one year of joining the team.
