Geotech Technician
Founded in 1987, Rubicon Engineering Corporation (Rubicon) is an environmental and structural engineering and water resources management firm with extensive experience in site characterization and remediation.
Rubicon is seeking a Geotech Technician with up to 3 years of geotechnical and environmental consulting and contracting experience.
Requirements:
· US citizen or Permanent Resident.
· California driver’s license with no restriction
· Knowledge of environmental and geotechnical engineering including general understanding of the field activities; drilling; soil and groundwater sampling, documenting field activities, and verbal/written communication with Rubicon personnel and clients.
· Ability to travel mostly in southern California to perform field work at sites requiring soil, asphalt, concrete sampling; ground water monitoring; and operating/maintaining remediation systems.
· Familiar with MS Office, Auto CAD, and GIS.
Key Responsibilities:
· Review and implement work orders issued by Rubicon and clients!
· Conduct field projects including shallow hand augering; collecting soil and groundwater samples; soil, asphalt, concrete characterization; and remediation system operation and maintenance.
· Documentation of field activities and data collected in the field.
