Gift Shop Attendant

Position Summary

Responsible for providing exemplary guest service by performing cashiering duties and maintaining cash balances, inventory for the Gift Shop along with stocking and merchandising of Gift Shop merchandise.

Essential Functions

• Provides product information to guests regarding Gift Shop merchandise. 
• Operates register, makes sales, and utilizes proper cash handling skills, stocks, and merchandises products, maintains inventory, and cleans Gift Shop and Storage area.
• Performs all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort customer service standards.
• Maintains general knowledge and provides information to guests of Chinook Winds Casino Resort events, programs, and services.
• Provides input or recommendations for improvements and changes in processes or services.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or GED 

Experience

6 months of experience in retail/customer service. 

Computer Skills

Microsoft Office beginner level.

Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License.

Work Environment

Work will take place in a busy gaming environment with multiple distractions. Retail atmosphere. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The environment is subject to smoke and the associated affects.  

Working Conditions

Conditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180-day introductory period.
