Job Overview

This position manages a team of GIS Professionals who develop and maintain GIS databases, applications and tools. Employees in this organization compile geospatial data, conduct analyses, develop models, and produce maps and reports. The leader in this position will be responsible for working with internal business units and subject matter experts to develop land acquisition strategies. The position will also create and support the business unit for reporting needs and onboarding new employees and contractors. for Land Supervisors and create and support the Land Supervisors reporting needs and onboarding of new employees and contractors.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Manage a team of GIS professionals

Develop optimized processes focusing on bringing costly outsourced GIS work in house

Manage the licensing and support cost of all of the applications used in the business unit

Manage system enhancements and upgrades

Provide assistance to the business unit in identifying and scoping hardware needs

Create a Land Strategy for the Land Supervisors working with SME's from various departments

Create and maintain standardized reporting for the Land Services Organization

Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

High School Grad/GED

Experience: 7+ years

0+ Leadership Experience

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree – Geography, Information systems, Information Technology, Land planning or Urban and Regional Planning
