GIS Operator

abra is seeking a GIS Operator!

We are looking for a detail-oriented GIS Operator to join our team, specializing in data management, property tracking, and spatial systems. The role involves responsibility for updating and cross-referencing property and financial databases, conducting data cleansing, and generating reports, while collaborating closely with department personnel and software vendors to ensure system optimization.

Job Description

• Responsible for updating property and financial systems with asset and leasing data.
• Performing data entry into information systems in accordance with management guidelines.
• Maintaining, archiving, and retrieving documentation of guidelines and updates within computerized systems.
• Generating and producing reports from the various digital systems.
• Conducting data cross-referencing and comparisons between systems to identify and correct discrepancies.
• Performing data cleansing and data quality optimization across all computing systems.
• Handling professional inquiries and coordination with relevant department personnel.
• Providing optimization and efficiency proposals to managers within the scope of responsibility.
• Troubleshooting system issues and coordinating resolutions with management and software vendors.
• Conducting asset and property surveys.

Mandatory Criteria (Must meet one of the following educational/experience tracks):

• Academic Degree (B.A./B.Sc.), Practical Engineer , or Certified Technician with a focus on Information Systems, Technologies, or Geography, AND at least 2 years of experience.
• OR: Graduate of relevant professional courses with a cumulative total of at least 300 academic hours, AND at least 3 years of experience.
• OR: At least 4 years of experience as a GIS Implementation Specialist or Support Specialist.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating information systems, including at least 1 year of hands-on experience working specifically with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
• Proven knowledge and experience in data analysis and generating reports from computerized systems.
• Proven knowledge and experience in data cleansing and data quality maintenance.
• Experience in system troubleshooting and managing issues with both internal supervisors and external software vendors.

Advantages:

• Over 6 months of active, continuous work experience with GIS.
• Knowledge and practical experience working with AutoCAD Map 3D.
