The City of Chandler Development Services Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a

GIS Senior Specialist . The position available is a full-time position with benefits. The work schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

The City of Chandler Development Services team, consisting of 83 positions, provides sound land use planning strategies, responsible design development standards, and high quality, safety compliant infrastructure in all areas of Development Services, including planning, GIS, building safety, development engineering, telecommunications and utility franchise, City fiber, transportation engineering, and customer service and permits.

Minimum qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent technical coursework in GIS, mapping or drafting, computer programming or related fields; and
3 to 5-years' experience in ArcGIS, computer mapping or drafting, and Global Positioning Systems; and
Valid Arizona Driver's License with acceptable driving record; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Desired qualifications
Experience in maintaining cadastral land base data
Ability to read plats and plot legal descriptions.
Experience in AutoCAD and importing/exporting CAD and otherdata formats into ArcGIS.
Experience in creating maps and providing analysis and reports.
Starting salary is expected to be mid-range or above, depending on qualifications and experience. The position available is a full-time temporary limited benefits position and is subject to a six (6) month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for six (6) months should another position become available.
