From nachos to nuts, when we think of having a snack, there's often the dilemma of choosing between 'healthy' and 'indulgent'. Health and wellness trends in the savory category are driven by a need for healthier options that are plant-based and/or lower in salt, fat, and sugar. And, while these are now expected by consumers, there also remains an expectation for great taste. Givaudan addresses the nutritional concerns of today's consumer, creating balance.


 


Reporting to a Regional Sales Director, you will have opportunity to grow specific accounts in our food categories including snacks, savory, sweet goods and beverage. We consider this a home-based office (remote) with high travel potential. We have a high preference for a New Jersey-based candidate.


 



  • Account Management: You will lead and influence strategic account planning. Develop comprehensive action plans for main accounts. Develop thoughtful understanding of customer potential through analysis of brand strategies, positioning, strengths and weaknesses, and competition data. Manage brief pipeline (quality and quantity of projects) to achieve growth plans.


 



  • Negotiate and Collaborate: You will manage large commercial projects in collaboration with Flavor Creation and Application. Ensure visibility and exposure for us at customers by maintaining and guiding appropriate call frequency with essential product demonstrations and technical to technical interface. Follow up on customer submissions and manage wins through to production and launch. Negotiate pricing agreements following company guidelines.


 



  • Business Development: You will grow our business with designated accounts by managing top and bottom lines and by generating a broad base of new business opportunities. Cultivate customer relationships with important decision-makers, positioning ourselves as preferred supplier and ensuring we position ourselves to participate in targeted briefs and on core supplier lists.


 


You?



  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Management, Marketing or Food Science

  • 5+ years' experience in sales, marketing or customer relationship role in food or related industry

  • Experience with the flavor industry, including consumer and industry trends

  • Knowledge of customer strategies, projects, commercial needs and product launch processes and competitor activity

Education and experience partly determine Job Title and Base Salary, with our compensation program guidelines determining them. Target base pay is $140k - $180k per year. Annual bonus and car allowance.
