What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
- Lead strategic direction, business performance, and financial management for complex activities within a Division or Global Business Unit.
- Manage people, technology, and financial resources, potentially utilizing resources outside of direct authority, to achieve Division or Global Business Unit objectives.
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement and innovation, encouraging acceptable risk-taking and developing solutions to complex problems.
- Contribute to strategy development and execution, holding accountability for decisions and influencing senior management within the Division or Global Business Unit.
- Manage talent and leadership development, participate in succession planning, and ensure senior managers are accountable for skill development and diversity.
- Provide regulatory leadership, oversee compliance activities, and ensure adherence to corporate policies, SOPs, and regulatory system compliance.
- Use governance structures, quality controls, and key performance indicators to monitor, report, and ensure quality assurance and inspection readiness of regulatory processes.
- Identify, measure, and mitigate compliance risks related to regulatory affairs, collaborating with colleagues to align on regulatory strategy and process improvements.
- Act as a subject matter expert on standards development, regulatory intelligence, and competitive insights, contributing to global knowledge and regulatory insights.
- Govern the implementation of global policies, strategies, and technological solutions, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs and Pfizer’s quality governance framework.
Global Compliance Strategy & Governance
- Define and continuously improve the Global Logistics Compliance strategy, governance model, and operating cadence, aligned with enterprise risk management and business resilience priorities.
- Establish clear standards, roles, escalation pathways, and performance expectations across logistics compliance domains.
- Ensure consistent application of compliance requirements across regions, markets, and third‑party logistics providers.
Domain Leadership & People Management
- Provide leadership, direction, and performance management for four global compliance domain leads, ensuring clear accountability, prioritization, and integration across:
- Controlled Substances & Suspicious Order Monitoring
- Dangerous Goods
- Compliance Systems, Training, Metrics & Documentation
- Collaborate with the Risk Management & Business Resilience Team to operationalize domain requirements into regional and market teams.
Enterprise Risk, Audit & Regulatory Readiness
- Ensure logistics compliance risks are identified, assessed, escalated, and monitored in alignment with enterprise risk and resilience frameworks.
- Oversee audit readiness and response across all logistics compliance domains, including internal audits, regulatory inspections, insurance‑driven assessments, and third‑party audits.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for significant compliance issues, repeat findings, or systemic risks.
Sys tems, Metrics & Enablement
- Oversee the development and execution of global compliance metrics, dashboards, training programs, change control and documentation frameworks.
- Ensure compliance systems and tools enable consistent execution, transparency, and decision‑making across regions and functions.
- Drive simplification, standardization, and digital enablement of logistics compliance processes.
Stakeholder Engagement & Cross‑Functional Integration
- Act as a senior interface with Risk Management & Business Resilience, Global EHS, Corporate Insurance, Legal, Quality, Security, Procurement, and regional logistics leadership.
- Ensure logistics compliance requirements are embedded into network changes, supplier lifecycle processes, and major transformation initiatives.
- Represent Global Logistics Compliance in enterprise forums and leadership discussions.
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 8+ years of experience; OR a Master’s degree with more than 7+ years of experience; OR a Ph.D. with 5+ years of experience.
- Proven experience leading global, matrixed teams, including managing senior leaders and building high-performing organizations
- Deep expertise in logistics compliance, supply chain risk management, regulatory compliance, or related disciplines within large, complex, highly regulated global organizations
- Experience leading enterprise-level compliance programs, including governance design, global standards, audit readiness, and sustained compliance across distributed networks
- Strong track record overseeing audit and inspection programs (internal, external, regulatory), including remediation and corrective/preventive actions
- Demonstrated ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across highly matrixed organizations and cross-functional teams
- Sound judgment and decision-making in managing complex compliance risks, balancing regulatory requirements with business and operational priorities
- Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate risks, trends, and priorities to senior leadership and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with regulatory systems and technologies, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and Microsoft Office skills
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements):
- Progressive experience in logistics compliance, supply chain risk management, regulatory compliance, or related disciplines within large, complex, highly regulated global organizations (e.g., pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, manufacturing, or global distribution environments).
- Demonstrated experience partnering with Corporate Insurance, Risk Engineering, and enterprise risk functions, including translating insurance and risk requirements into operational controls and governance mechanisms.
- Strong change leadership capability, with experience driving global transformation, standardization, and adoption of new compliance operating models, systems, or processes.
- Experience with compliance systems, metrics, and enablement, including oversight of training programs, documentation frameworks, dashboards, and digital tools that support consistent global execution.
- Global mindset and cultural fluency, with experience operating across regions, time zones, and regulatory environments.
- Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $176,600.00 to $294,300.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
