The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Global Sales & Delivery Manager, Sustainability / Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales of our ESG consulting services while also overseeing the successful delivery of projects to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sustainability, ESG, and consulting, along with excellent sales acumen and project management skills.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Sales Leadership:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets for ESG consulting services.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with potential clients, including corporations, institutions, and government agencies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and upsell additional services.
  • Lead the sales team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to drive performance and achieve sales goals.
  • Build relationships across EHS Support business units to identify ESG,Greenhouse Gas (GHG), decarbonization, and sustainability opportunities.

Client Engagement:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their sustainability objectives, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Conduct needs assessments and develop tailored solutions to address clients' ESG goals and requirements.
  • Deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and pitches to effectively communicate the value proposition of our consulting services.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to ensure alignment of project objectives, deliverables, and expectations.

Project Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of consulting projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
  • Lead project planning, resource allocation, and budget management efforts to meet project goals and financial targets.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners to execute project tasks and deliverables effectively.
  • Contribute and enhance our team's current knowledge of ESG.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.

Industry Brand:

  • Identify and stay abreast of emerging industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to sustainability, ESG, and responsible business practices.
  • Contribute to the development of thought leadership content, whitepapers, and case studies to showcase our expertise and differentiate our services in the market.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities to enhance our visibility and thought leadership position.

Qualifications/Education

  • Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental science, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience with providing consulting services
  • Proven track record of success in sales and business development
  • Experience and knowledge of sustainability strategy development and implementation, carbon management (GHG Protocol, Science Based Targets initiatives (SBTi)), corporate due diligence (social impact scans, impact measurement), and are aware of developments in the field, such as those around corporate sustainability reporting (European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (EU CSRD), Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex consulting engagements and deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence clients at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales plans, identify market opportunities, and drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to travel to up to 40%

Highly Qualified Candidates

  • Certifications in the following - CSR-P, GRI Certified Training, CFA Institute's Certificate in ESG Investing
  • Working experience with global standards related to socially responsible/ESG investing and reporting
  • Prior experience working with a consulting or engineering firm in the ESG or sustainability advisory sector
