Job Summary
The Global Sales Operations Representative I is a support role for our global network of Field Application Scientists (FAS) and distributors. This individual will provide sales-based solutions to our customers, field personnel, and distributors in order to secure business. The ability to work in a flexible environment and across departments is expected. This role reports to the Global Sales Operations Supervisor.
This is a fully remote position, with some mandatory hybrid in-office days during sales meetings, training, and other required company events in San Diego. This role will be required to work a shift of 8am-5pm PT Monday-Friday with a one-hour lunch break.

Essential Functions

Address customer, FAS, distributor, and third-party channel inquiries as they are received via phone, email, internal forward, or direct contact. Provide effective communication, problem-solve, think critically, and act autonomously.
Understand and follow all items outlined in the Employee Expectations Guide.
Generate product quotations for customers by obtaining all available information necessary to assess the request and create business proposals that support strategic and revenue-producing outcomes.
Manage customers, field teams, distributors, and customer service to coordinate the requirements and logistics for complex orders and long-term supply chain needs.
Act as a liaison between field sales and the various internal BioLegend departments to ensure all appropriate support actions are done in a timely manner.
Respond to urgent requests utilizing prioritization and organization.
Maintain all customer-related activities within all BioLegend databases (including Salesforce, ERP/CRM systems, and detailed logs) to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Other duties include but are not limited to sample requests, inventory and product review, vetting new customers, promotion support, and individual research when required.
Capable of comprehending and enhancing standard operating procedures for the Global Sales Operations team.
Represent BioLegend in a positive and professional manner. Demonstrate superb email etiquette, and written and oral communication. Utilize customer appreciation and loyalty statements when resolving complaints.
Regularly take the initiative to present to the GSO department during team meetings. Keep leadership informed of potential problem areas

Minimum Qualifications



Education and Experience
Associate’s Degree (in Biological sciences is a plus) and 3 years of working experience
1-2 years in Sales or Customer Service role, biotech is a plus
Preferred Qualifications – Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, in Biological sciences is a plus
Computer proficiency with ability to use Microsoft Office products is required.
Ability to deal with high volume of communications (email, phone, etc.).
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred).
Experience with Customer Relations Management Systems (Salesforce preferred).
Experience with intermediate to advanced techniques in Excel (i.e. Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, Macros).
The base salary range for this full-time position is $25.50-$31.00/Hour. (Global Sales Operations Representative II pay range will be $30.00-$35.00/Hour). This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
