Global Supply Chain Director

At Digilock, we are leading the way in the innovation, design, and manufacture of personal storage security solutions.
We are looking for a sharp and motivated Global Supply Chain Director to join our Houston office location. This person is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the company's supply chain operations on a global scale. This includes strategic planning, procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution. The Director will work closely with various departments within the organization, as well as external suppliers and partners, to optimize processes and achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize the global supply chain network.
Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation.
Align supply chain strategies with overall business objectives and market demands.

Procurement:
Manage inventory levels to meet production and customer demand while minimizing carrying costs.

Logistics and Distribution:
Optimize transportation routes and modes to ensure timely delivery of products.
Coordinate with third-party logistics providers to streamline operations and reduce costs.
Implement systems and technologies for tracking and monitoring shipments in real-time.

Inventory Management:
Oversee the procurement process, including sourcing, and purchasing.
Develop inventory strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
Implement and manage Time Fence Planning tools with existing ERP.
Implement inventory control measures to ensure accuracy and reliability of inventory data.
Forecast demand and coordinate with production and procurement teams to maintain appropriate inventory
levels.
Ensure on-time delivery to customers.

Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and disruptions in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor geopolitical, economic, and environmental factors that may impact supply chain operations.
Establish business continuity plans to ensure resilience in the face of unforeseen events.

Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance and support.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the supply chain organization.
Set clear goals and objectives for the team and provide regular performance feedback and evaluations.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
Proven experience in product-based supply chain management, with a minimum of 10 years in a leadership role.
In-depth knowledge of supply chain principles, practices, and technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of driving results and leading teams to success.
