We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Diesel Technician to join our team at General Motors. As a Diesel Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of our diesel-powered vehicles. From routine maintenance to complex repairs, you will utilize your expertise and attention to detail to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic tests on diesel engines and related components to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and replace diesel engine components, such as fuel injectors, turbochargers, and exhaust systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems to diagnose and resolve complex problems.
- Follow manufacturer guidelines and technical specifications to ensure quality repairs and service.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding vehicle issues and recommended repairs.
Requirements:
- General Motors certification as a Diesel Technician.
- Proven experience working with diesel engines in an automotive or related environment.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid US Driver's License
- Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 40 lbs
- Basic computer knowledge to complete data entry
- Ability to read and write English and perform basic math
