GM Certified Technician with Sign On Bonus

Edwards Chevrolet is looking for our next GM Certified Technician. This is an exciting opportunity in a growing, fast-paced industry. You will be responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This position will build customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence through effectively diagnosing and repairing vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership

  
  


• 
  

  Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

  
  


• 
  

  Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.  Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs

  
  

Requirements:

• Strong automotive background


• Effective analytical and communication skills


• Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills


• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications


• Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment


• Technical degree preferred


• ASE certifications preferred


• Minimum of 1 year in service department


• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment


• Basic computer skills


• Positive, friendly attitude 


• 
  

  Strong teamwork skills

  
  


• Must have clean & valid driver's license


• 
  

  Willing to submit to a background check
