GM HVAC and Plumbing

An established and growing mechanical contractor in Western Colorado is seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead company operations and support continued growth. This opportunity is ideal for a proven leader with experience in construction, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical services, and business management. YOU MUST HAVE 3 PLUS years of HVAC or Plumbing experience (ideally both).

Position Summary

The General Manager will oversee all aspects of company operations, including project execution, financial performance, workforce development, customer relationships, and strategic planning. This individual will work closely with ownership and department leaders to ensure operational excellence, profitability, and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day business operations.
• Develop and execute strategic growth initiatives.
• Oversee project management, field operations, and service departments.
• Monitor financial performance, budgets, forecasting, and profitability.
• Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and industry partners.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of leadership experience in mechanical contracting, construction, HVAC, plumbing, or a related industry.
• Demonstrated success managing operations, budgets, and personnel.
• Strong financial and business acumen.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with project management, estimating, and service operations preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
