We are building a co-scientist to help academics with key tasks like discovery, grant writing, paper writing, and promotion. We believe automating science will happen. We want to be the ones to build it. Join us as we continue to redefine what's possible in the world of research.

How You'll Contribute

We're looking for a General Manager to lead our Writing Product Pillar. Many academics find writing a paper a huge chore. Ideally we would like to create a writing agent that has two objectives:

• Make writing papers less chore-like, less annoying, less painful.⁠

• Improve the quality of the paper, so it is more likely to get published in a good journal and have an impact on the field.

As the General Manager, you would operate like a product founder: finding the product/market fit, owning growth for your product, and doing whatever it takes to make progress such as innovating on scrapping testing strategies and building strong relationships with users.

• You'll solve problems for real academics by conducting customer interviews and user research to build products and features that address users' pain points, motivations, and behaviors.

• You'll design a roadmap for your product pillar - Writing - ruthlessly prioritizing big ideas that move the business forward.

• You design and run experiments that test the right assumptions in order to ship products that users love.

• You'll find product-market fit, identify the key levers for growth and profitability, and directly contribute to company growth.

About You

• You do whatever it takes to make progress with drive, resilience and versatility.

• You have 3+ years experience starting a successful software business.

• You are enthusiastic about coming into the office 5 day a week to work directly with your team.

• You can connect product metrics to P&L, you understand a subscription business model, and understand business levers.
