Day (United States of America)This is an outstanding opportunity for a clinician-educator who is passionate about resident teaching, curriculum development, outpatient supervision, quality improvement, and advancing internal medicine education within a collaborative community-based academic setting.

Position Structure
This is a full-time 1.0 FTE Outpatient GME Core Faculty position.
Appropriate protected non-clinical time will be provided for duties including resident education, curriculum development, faculty development, accreditation support, and scholarly activity. Additional time may be allocated for specific academic activities at the discretion of the program and aligned with institutional priorities.
Position Highlights
• OP core faculty role within the GME clinic
• Primary responsibility includes outpatient supervision and teaching of Internal Medicine residents, including assessment, evaluation, and serving on the Clinical Competency Committee (CCC)
• Provide clinical instruction while modeling professionalism and high-value, evidence-based patient care
• Deliver didactic lectures and participate in conferences and clinical case discussions
• Actively support resident growth, wellness, and scholarly development
• Contribute to curriculum development and ongoing program improvement including serving on the Program Evaluation Committee (PEC)
• Engage in scholarly activity, including research, quality improvement initiatives, or participation in regional and national professional societies
• Reports directly to the Internal Medicine Program Director
Qualifications
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine (Board Eligible candidates will be considered if recently trained)
• Interest in medical education and resident development
• Prior GME experience preferred, though not required
Compensation and Benefits
Wellstar offers a competitive compensation package including signing bonus, relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, CME support, and retirement plan options. Wellstar may be able to support eligible candidates requiring visa sponsorship.
