Job Description - Golf Counter Attendant

Maumee Bay Lodge in Oregon, Ohio, is seeking a customer service-oriented individual to join our team as a Golf Pro Shop Counter Attendant at our 18 hole Scottish links golf course.


This is a part-time, seasonal position with varying shifts from week to week depending on outings & business levels.

Responsibilities:



  • Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, providing exceptional customer service

  • Assist guests with checking in and out for their tee times, answering questions, and providing course information

  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, utilizing cash registers and POS systems

  • Maintain a clean and organized pro shop, restocking merchandise as needed

  • Promote and upsell golf merchandise to guests, utilizing product knowledge and suggestive selling techniques

  • Maintain a cash drawer and accurately reconcile at the end of each shift

  • Serve as a point of contact for any guest inquiries, complaints, or feedback

  • Assists guests in the pro shop snack bar as needed

  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for guests and staff


Requirements:



  • Must be 18 or older

  • Prior customer service experience preferred

  • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions

  • Knowledge and passion for the game of golf

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, and lift up to 25 pounds

  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
