Golf Range Attendant

Detroit Golf Club is a premier private club in Detroit, MI. Richly embedded in the history of Detroit, DGC aims to uphold its heritage of the city with our contributions to the game of golf and robust and diverse membership. The historical Albert Kahn clubhouse sits along two Donald Ross-designed 18-hole courses. The club cultivates a welcoming atmosphere and garners a sense of camaraderie for members and employees alike. Along with an active environment, Detroit Golf Club hosts, The Rocket Classic PGA tournament through 2027. 

The Golf Range Attendant is responsible for maintaining the driving range and practice facilities, ensuring they are clean, organized, and fully stocked with golf balls. This role requires strong attention to detail, customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in an outdoor environment.

Work Conditions:

• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

• Physical activity, including walking, lifting, and equipment operation.

• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Pick, clean, and restock range balls throughout the day.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the driving range, practice greens, and chipping areas.

• Ensure hitting stations are properly set up, including mats, tees, and ball dispensers.

• Monitor and rotate hitting areas to maintain turf quality.

• Operate ball-picking equipment and safely collect range balls.

• Assist guests with any range-related questions and provide excellent customer service.

• Perform light maintenance on range equipment and report any issues to management.

• Ensure that range baskets, dividers, and other accessories are properly maintained.

• Help enforce course and practice facility rules to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all golfers.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Knowledge of golf etiquette and basic golf operations preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Friendly, professional demeanor with good communication skills.

• Experience operating range equipment (ball picker, cart, etc.) is a plus.
