Help us turn out voters in Tennessee to get out the vote and win the biggest upset in years! We have less than a week to go, and this race is tight. If we talk to enough voters, we will win. That’s why we are looking for a team of canvassers to help us reach voters who deserve a voice in this election. From now through Election Day on December 2nd, our team is connecting directly with voters through door-to-door outreach. We will be supporting Aftyn Behn, a social worker, organizer, and current State Representative who has spent her career fighting alongside the people most impacted by broken systems, not those who benefit from them.

This role is a great opportunity to gain experience in the following areas: Leadership, Communication & Advocacy, Community Outreach & Engagement, Campaign Work, Public Policy, and Social Enterprise.

Get paid well! Canvassing positions start at $20/hour. Team Lead positions start at $22/hour. We offer overtime pay, driver bonuses, shift bonuses, paid training, sick pay, and bonuses for friend referrals. With bonuses and overtime, total earnings can reach $30-35/hr.

Locations: Nashville, TN 

We are hiring immediately, all positions run through 12/2 with possibilities for advancement afterwards. Shifts run from 9:45 am - 8:00 pm weekdays and weekends with the possibility to work part-time or full-time.

Canvasser Responsibilities ($20/hr):

• Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner
• Deliver a compelling campaign message, and collect complete survey answers from voters
• Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills
• Follow the campaign's safety protocols

The ideal candidate:

• Passionate about progressive politics and fostering democracy
• Strong communication skills; you should enjoy working with other people and be willing and excited to speak with everyone
• Hard worker who will stay motivated to engage as many people as possible
• Open to new challenges and are interested in building their campaign skills
• Culturally competent and able to respectfully engage with teammates and the community
• Prior canvassing experience is preferred, but not required.

Note: Employees must be eligible to work in the US. Upon hire, everyone will be required to present original, and unexpired documents from the Lists of Acceptable Documents to complete the I-9 form verification.
