Job Description - Government Rates Analyst

ABOUT THE TEAM


We’re looking for a Government Rates Analyst to join our dynamic, growing finance team located at our offices in Irvine, CA.


ABOUT THE JOB


The Government Rates Analyst will support ongoing processes to review allowability (FAR 31.201-2), assist monthly trend analysis related to overhead rates, ensure compliance with FAR and DFARS requirements, complete different types of variance analyses, identify process improvements and much more in the growth of the company and Government Accounting team. We’re looking for someone who has excellent attention to detail, strong communication and problem solving skills, and is adept in Microsoft Office as well as system savvy.


WHAT YOU’LL DO



  • Participate in month-end and quarter-end close processes

  • Monthly trend analysis of actuals to budget

  • Assist in the implementation of cost allowability reviews ensuring compliance with FAR and DFARS requirements

  • Helping create formal Policies & Procedures around cost allowability and the relevant audits of such

  • Assist with Forward Pricing Rates, Incurred Cost Proposals, and the DCAA/DCMA audits of these deliverables

  • Contribute to ad-hoc analyses and sensitivity assessments for various business scenarios


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred

  • 2+ year(s) of accounting or finance experience (government or project accounting experience preferred)

  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn complex financial concepts

  • Proficiency in Excel including formulas, pivot tables, and charts

  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Hands on experience with corporate cost allocations, overhead rates, or an understanding of these subjects

  • Coursework or interest in process improvement and automation

  • Familiarity with financial reporting tools or ERP systems (e.g., Essbase, Oracle, SAP)

US Salary Range

$77,000 - $102,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
