Wastewater Grade IV Operator

$5,000 signing incentive for night shift

Starts out at step 8 ($31.13)of the pay grade
8pm - 6 am shift - off days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday

The purpose of this position is to perform specialized technical work associated with wastewater treatment plant operations and maintenance. Must maintain an active Grade 4 wastewater license.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Monitor wastewater treatment plant processes and equipment using established procedures to ensure proper sewage treatment, sludge processing, and disposal in accordance with federal and state regulations. Monitor and inspect plant equipment for safety, maintenance, and proper process operations; performs repairs. Collect samples and conduct laboratory testing. Monitor and record plant data; prepares reports and maintain records. Grease and lubricate equipment; maintain adequate fuel levels. Add chemicals and/or microorganisms to wastewater and maintain correct ratios. Operate machinery, equipment, and tools which may include pumps, motors, generators, blowers, valves, and computers. Perform cleaning, repair, and maintenance tasks to keep the plant facilities, machinery, equipment, tools, and grounds in good working condition. Attend and participate in safety meetings; abide by safety protocols and help maintain a safe working environment for self and others.
