Grade Crew Member

TITLE:  GRADE LABORER/OPERATOR                                                                

REPORTS TO:  GRADE FOREMAN                                                                  

JOB PURPOSE:

• 
  Perform general construction and clean up

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• 
  Comprehend and perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations


• 
  Wear PPE as directed


• 
  Shovel, rake, and compact materials in grade and pave operations


• 
  Clean up as directed; back edges; pick up all tools, clean and return to truck


• 
  Check equipment for proper operation (oil, diesel, hydraulic fluid); Oil daily.


• 
  Traffic control, including flagging. Protect finished products from the public.


• 
  Spray tack oil as directed


• 
  Keep crew truck clean and orderly


• 
  Make utility adjustments (ex: level manhole covers)


• 
  Wear PPE as directed


• 
  Maintain a professional attitude and performance in accordance with the established personnel policies


• 
  Immediately report all injuries to Foreman.


• 
  Perform any and all tasks and duties assigned by the Foreman.
